Castle Rock, Colorado
Castle Rock consistently makes the list of the top 5 cities to live in Colorado. The city is growing and
boasts of great schools, local shopping and restaurants, employment opportunities, and many options
for entertainment and recreation. While the city is growing it maintains a small-town charm with a
thriving downtown area that is extremely popular with residents of Castle Rock and other nearby metro
Denver communities. The Denver metro area has grown, and Castle Rock is now considered a suburb of the Denver Metro; however, there is a buffer of designated outdoor conservation areas that provides a separation from the metro area.

Excellent Public Schools
6 Eagle Point Lane feeds into Rock Canyon High School, one of the largest public high schools in
Colorado with a student body of 2,400. SAT scores for Rock Canyon average 1172, which puts the school
in the top 3 in the state and 2 nd in the metro Denver area. Rock Canyon offers 32 AP Courses and 11
Concurrent Enrollment college level dual credit courses. AP-Track scores are higher. This highly
respected high school has a 99% graduation rate and 89% of students continue on to a 4-year college or
university. 2020 graduating seniors received over $15 million in scholarships. The current class has 44
National Merit Scholars and 25 National Merit Finalists. The school program has comprehensive
Athletic and Activities programs with over a 90% participation rate.
Valor Christian is a highly respected private school close by that offers College Prep classes are
intellectually challenging and developmentally appropriate. Honors, Advanced Placement (AP) and Dual
Credit (DC) classes provide college-level content and requirements that keep advanced and highly
motivated students engaged and thriving. The school offers a wide variety of elective courses as well, so
students are able to support their long-term interests and goals. The weekly schedule closely replicates
a college experience, with courses meeting at various times throughout the week, enabling students to
invest in peer, teacher and mentor relationships throughout the week. Valor Christian also has
comprehensive Athletic and Activities programs. Valor sports teams are some of the most competitive
in the state.
Regis High School/St Mary’s Academy
Regis Jesuit (Boys) and St Mary’s Academy (Girls) High Schools are traditional Catholic private high
schools that are high performing in academics, activities, and athletics. Both schools are an easy drive
from the Castle Rock area and provide additional educational options. 1:10 teacher to student ratio.
The average experience of the teaching faculty is 18 years. St. Mary’s founded in 1861, is a K-12 school
with 700 students. The elementary and middle school are co-ed with only the high school being girls
only. Average class size at St. Mary’s is 18-20 students per classroom.
Downtown & Restaurants
Castle Rock offers a thriving historic downtown area. The city has recently invested in extensive
renovations. The city boasts many popular restaurants and bars. Restaurants are too numerous to list, but a few worth mentioning are The Office Bar & Kitchen, Yolanda’s Tacos, Cuba Cuba, and La Loma. The Village at Castle Pines has two beautiful private golf clubs inside the gates. The Castle Pines CountryClub, and the renowned Castle Pines Golf Club are both world class Jack Nicklaus Signature courses. TheCountry Club at Castle Pines is currently undergoing a $17.1 “reinvention” project.
In addition to the 400 acres of state parks, canyons, and natural beauty, locals can enjoy the Miller
Activity Complex. This two-story, 64,443-square-foot recreational facility features everything from
batting cages and an 18-hole golf simulator to and indoor ppol and lounge area with fireplace. Castle
Rock maintains extensive trails system for hiking, road biking and mountain biking including Daniel’s
Park, the Fountain Valley Loop Trail, Lake Gulch Trail, Rock Park, Devil’s head and the Mini Incline.
Coloradoans are often noted as the healthiest citizens in the United States because of the many outdoor
recreational activities that are available, and Castle Rock is a prime example.
The Village at Castle Pines is also just a couple hours away from some of the best skiing/boarding in the
world including Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen, Snow Mass, Breckinridge, Keystone and Winter Park. These resort towns not only offer skiing and boarding, but there is also cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, tubing, ice fishing and snow shoeing. During the summer months, hiking, fly fishing, mountain biking, road biking, jazz festivals, as well as wine and food festivals are popular activities. During the fall, you can enjoy spectacular colors as the trees turn vibrant colors.
